LG Q7 - review of a small mid-shelf handsome

LG Q7 debuted in June 2018. At first, it was not a popular phone - mainly due to the fact that the price was too high in relation to its capabilities. At that time, for the amount of almost PLN 1,500, it was possible to buy many other, more interesting equipment, including the better performing LG G6. What influenced such unfavorable notes - otherwise quite a good LG Q7 smartphone? The technical parameters speak for themselves.

LG Q7 - technical data

A big surprise for amateurs of mobile novelties during the premiere of the smartphone, was its different from current standards technical equipment. LGQ7 uses the MediaTek helio P10 processor, which was on time in the third quarter of 2015. At the time when the smartphone was supposed to conquer European markets, competitors were producing medium sized products with Snapdragon 630 and flagships with Snapdragon 821 and 835 processors. In terms of performance, the model stood out from its mid-shelf neighbors.

When someone in the sales department came after reason to think and the price of LG Q7 fell by half, the attractiveness of the smartphone increased slightly. Finally, it was equipped with the modules and technological solutions popular at that time, such as fingerprint reader, accelerometer or gyroscope. Interestingly, the version with one slot has been armed with NFC module, while LG Q7 dual SIM no longer.

The smartphone is equipped with a 5.5" Full Vision display with a diagonal of 18:9 and a resolution of 1080 x 2160. Quite a good density of 439 pixels per inch, positively affects the satisfactory image quality. The screen occupies 78.3% of the front of the device. The height of the phone is 143.8 mm, which, with a width of 69.3 mm and a thickness of 8.4 mm, makes the device lie well in the hand. The rounded glass surface of the display connects to the metal back and weighs only 145g.

Despite the competitive trend of supplying smartphones with a dual rear camera, LG decided to mount a single 13 Mpx lens with F/2.2 brightness on the backpacks in Q7. The advantageous technological solution is the automatic HDR mode of the LG Q6. A novelty at the moment of the smartphone's debut was the use of Q Lens software, which recognizes objects while taking pictures and also enables scanning of QR codes.

LG Q7 - opinions of mGSM

The experience of Internet users from the mGSM portal shows that the LG Q7 smartphone is a handy and neat phone. However, this is the only positive feature that all users agree with. Nearly 55% of entries are negative comments, 18.2% neutral, and only 27.3% of owners are satisfied with LG Q7 activity. The phones tested by them are to be characterized by a lack of fluidity in the transition between applications and frequent suspension of the system.

Another disadvantage is that the camera catches the focus poorly. In addition, the casing is easy to scratch and damaged, and the glass breaks even when the smartphone falls from a low height. The positive features of the phone consists of the long operation time of the device on a single charge. LG Q7 dual test is also beneficial because dual SIM use is efficient. The attractiveness of the phone and its demand is influenced by a significantly reduced, very attractive price.
