LG G6 - a new trend in Korean aesthetics

At the MWC fair in Barcelona - exactly on 26 February 2017, and two months later in Poland, a new child of the Korean corporation - the LG G6 smartphone - had its debut. The starting price of 3299 PLN for a device with a usable capacity of 32 GB made you eat hair on your head. What happened to the company's decision about such an exorbitant price of the LG G6 model? Technical specifications and a well thought-out marketing strategy are the key to answering these questions.

LG G6 - review of the flagship

Modular and technological solutions used in the LG G6 dual SIM model are the result of conclusions drawn from the shortcomings of previous productions - although not in every respect. In addition to a number of advantages, this smartphone also has a number of significant disadvantages. Despite a thorough lifting of the housing, the factory protective layer of the screen leaves a lot to be desired.

While it is not so visible on the LG G6 platinum, the fingerprints on the black version of the LG G6 are clearly visible. In addition to the fact that the glass pane quickly gets dirty, it is just as easy to scratch - even when stored in a case. It is worth equipping this phone with an additional protective foil for the screen.

A clever marketing trick

The marketing trick, which undoubtedly worked in the case of LG G6, was to offer attractive bonuses in advance sales. Those who decided to buy in the dark - not waiting for the official premiere, received a voucher for a one-time repair of the display. The voucher was valid until the day of its premiere in Poland, i.e. until 20 April 2018.

The second gift for brave customers were headphones LG HBS-910 Bluetooth Tone Infinim. The total value of these gifts is about 1000 PLN. Cleverly? Indeed! In such a situation, the price drops by almost a third, and also these high quality headphones....

LG G6 - technical data

LG G6 is equipped with Full Vision display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 5.7 inch diagonal. The heart of the device is an eight-core Snapdragon 821 processor, compatible with Adreno 530 GPU. The phone is equipped with 4GB of RAM memory. You can choose a more expensive model with 64 GB or 32 GB of data memory for the basic LG G6 version. The test indicates that thanks to the large capacity of the base memory for Android operation, the phone does not freeze, and the transition between applications takes place smoothly.

LG G6 - opinions of smartphone users

The mGSM portal is a reliable indicator of the overall satisfaction of customers with their phone purchase. LG G6 is positively rated by almost 60% of its owners. Neutral and negative opinions are almost half-way through. According to satisfied customers, this phone never lags or jams during its work. The durable battery allows you to use your phone for twelve hours without contact with the charger.

Those dissatisfied with the purchase point primarily to the poor quality of glass, which quickly scratches and cracks easily. Another disadvantage is the chronically perishable fingerprint scanner. Other problems are waterproofness, which leaves a lot to be desired, and a broken Bluetooth when pairing devices.
